"I’m downsizing. Not that my large and medium sized handbags are eBay-bound, but for brunch, browsing and casual nights out, I’m jettisoning big in favor of PaulyJen Belt Bags with Options™" - Griffin Miller, New York Lifestyles Magazine

These high end, buttery leather accessories (refined to glam) have already been redefining the Southern California fashion scene with their versatility: they can be worn as a crossbody, attached to a belt around your hip, carried as a clutch or, when you just can’t live without it, tossed into a tote." - Griffin Miller, New York Lifestyles Magazine

"Groundbreaking designer Paulette Povar’s collection is, in a word, killer. Mine is currently taking Manhattan one rave at a time." - Griffin Miller, New York Lifestyles Magazine

Conversations with the Inspiring Paulette Povar

from the SAN DIEGO VOYAGER

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

The road has had many obstacles along the way, some smooth roads and some challenges. I would have to say after learning some of the challenges along the way, I would encourage one to do their homework about every step that would involved related to their idea or business. Once you have a better understanding of the in’s & out’s of your business idea, it will guide you as to what’s steps have to be taken, It’s easy to come up with an idea and get a running start with excitement, but it’s imperative to know where you’re going and how you’re going to get there. I have had to backtrack a few times along my journey, its been an exciting journey. If you love what you do even when the roads are rough, it’s worth it in the end because in life not all roads are smooth.

I like to call myself a designer with a passion for fashion, a conceptual artist who loves to create ideas and businesswoman who enjoys marketing. My passion was to create a line of luxury & lifestyle leather line of versatile belt bags/clutches and accessories that had functionality and purpose for women on the go, I’ve accomplished designing a belt bag that serves a purpose with versatility allowing women to be hands-free and wear their belt bag with having many options. It’s effortless and liberating when your out walking your dog, out shopping, dancing at a festival or traveling around the world. My first launch was at Kaaboo, a well-known music festival back in September 2019 with a successful turnout from women from all over the world. The experience confirmed the need and demand was there, which couldn’t make me happier!
